An empty house shows everything: the dust on the baseboards, the ring in the toilet, the crumbs in the drawer nobody ever opened. Move-in and move-out cleaning is a detailed, empty-house clean that gets a home ready to hand over or ready to move into. It is one of the most requested services we have in Blacksburg and Christiansburg, and for good reason: this is Virginia Tech country, and every July and August the whole town changes apartments at once.
What a move-out clean covers
With the home empty, we clean what you normally never see:
- Inside and outside of every kitchen appliance, including the oven, refrigerator, freezer and range hood
- Inside and outside of every cabinet, drawer and closet
- Full bathrooms: tubs, showers, toilets, grout, exhaust fans, mirrors and fixtures
- Baseboards, trim, door frames, switch plates and walls, wiped where needed
- Window sills, frames, tracks and interior glass
- Vents and registers
- Light fixtures and ceiling fans
- Floors vacuumed and mopped throughout, edges included
For renters and students
Your lease ends when your deposit comes back. A professional move-out clean is the cheapest insurance on that deposit we know of, and around the Virginia Tech lease cycle in July and August it is also the only way to be done in time. We work around your key handover, and we clean the place you are moving into too, so day one starts with a clean kitchen instead of a wipe-down weekend.
For landlords and property managers

How pricing works
Move-in and move-out cleaning is quoted at $55 per cleaning hour. The time depends on the size of the home and its condition when we start, because an empty, well-kept apartment and a five-bedroom house that hosted four students for two years are different jobs.
